About Lake Michigan Book Press

Lake Michigan Book Press was first located inside the Park Trades Center in downtown Kalamazoo, Michigan and is now based in a home studio. Every book is handmade-to-order by one person, Crystal Shaulis, former Intern Manager at the Kalamazoo Book Arts Center in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Here, I taught incoming interns and students the art of papermaking, bookbinding, letterpress and marbling. My artist books have been on exhibit at the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, University of Nebraska and the Muskegon Museum of Art.
